Salmon Sleuths

Salmon at Lake Sammamish

Dust off your sleuthing skills

Salmon watching season may not be over! While you may be watching the larger population of salmon entering Issaquah creek right now, a smaller population of Kokanee salmon migrate up Laughing Jacob Creek through Lake Sammamish State Park.

Join FLSSP on a salmon hunt! Join FLSSP Board member and resident salmon expert David Kyle as you hunt for Kokanee salmon and learn more about the salmon's habitat and lifestyle. This is a unique opportunity to see a less traveled part of the park and to observe a smaller, less famous salmon population. Their migration patterns are harder to predict, so there is no guarantee that salmon will be viewed at this event, but we will give you all the salmon sleuthing tools you will need to find these elusive fish!

As Laughing Jacob is a small creek and access is limited, we will be keeping this event limited to 15 people.

Event is full! If you would like to be added to the waitlist- please email operations@flssp.org
