Spotlight on Ranger Tor Bjorklund

Tor Bjorklund, assistant manager to the Cascade Foothills Area, has been a park professional for more than 36 years! His current responsibilities include not only Lake Sammamish State Park but Squak Mountain, Olallie,
and Palouse-to-Cascade State Park Trail.

Tor is a familiar face around Lake Sammamish State Park. He works with a team of park rangers and aides to maintain the park and the visitors. He often volunteers to help FLSSP with events. Tor is married to former park ranger Shana Stromer. They have two children, Nate, 11, and Sadie, 7. In his free time he enjoys hiking, swimming and camping with his family.
