We Need Water: How Forestry Practices Affect Water Resources

As part of our mission to promote sustainability and to improve the health of the watershed, we are pleased to share this video produced by Cascade Water Alliance for Arbor Day, April 30th. Cascade Water Alliance, a municipal drinking water provider in King County, serves 380,000 residents and 20,000 businesses.

The short video, We Need Water, highlights the pioneering research of Lummi tribal member Oliver Grah and discusses his research on how logging and forestry practices affect freshwater sustainability and how the management of one resource can influence another. By practicing smart and sustainable forest management, we can ensure that enough water stays in the rivers for salmon, as well as the wildlife and people that depend on it.
