Comprehensive Trails Plan Update

State Parks is now reviewing consultant proposals for evaluation, design, and permitting for the Issaquah/Orchard Loop Trail, part of the first phase of many trail improvements to come to Lake Sammamish State Park. Park planners are also getting in front of crosswalk construction across the entry road.

Ste Parks received $3 million in grants for trail improvements that include making the trails accessible for all abilities. FLSSP pledged to raise $200,000 as its contribution. Thanks to contributions from the City of Issaquah, King County, the City of Sammamish, Lakeside Sand & Gravel and many others, we are almost there!
