State Park Free Days in June

The month of June has three “state parks free days,” more than any other month!

Come out to any Washington State Pak on June 11 for National Get Outdoors Day, June 12 for Free Fishing Day and June 19 for Juneteenth and access all Washington State Parks without paying an entry fee.

In celebration of National Get Outdoors Day, come to Lake Sammamish State Park on Saturday, June 11 for a fun filled day of sample adventures in State Parks. The interpretive staff will be offering “An Introduction to Parks” in the Sunset Beach Interpretive Space from 12pm-3pm.

This program is perfect for families, groups, and youth of all ages. They will discuss hiking, camping and have fun challenges for families.

There are so many other ways to recreate at the park; go for a bird walk, fly a kite at Sunset Beach or go for a swim. Want to try Kayaking? Issaquah Paddlesports is also now open at Tibbetts Beach for kayak rentals and lessons. Visit their website https://www.issaquahpaddlesports.com/ to reserve your kayak and for more information.

Help us celebrate National Get Outdoors Day by celebrating Lake Sammamish State Park.
