FLSSP Offering New Volunteer Opportunity for Individuals

Do you love to pull weeds but don't have a garden? Are you looking for ways to help keep our park free and clear of litter when you visit? Have you wished you could volunteer at the park but can't make it to our volunteer events?

FLSSP is now offering a new volunteer opportunity! Individuals who would like to help keep the Sunset Beach gardens free of weeds or pick up trash throughout the park on their own are encouraged to select the "Individual Weeding/Litter Pickup" option on our Volunteer Form. FLSSP will contact interested individuals to provide more details about how and when volunteers can perform these activities at the park. No Discover Pass is needed to volunteer! If you don't have one, you can obtain a free volunteer day-use pass from the park office.

Volunteers must complete a Washington State Parks volunteer application. After approval, on their first volunteer visit, you will receive a free pair of gardening gloves from FLSSP and can earn more FLSSP/WSP swag as you report your completed hours to us. Thank you for helping us keep our park beautiful!

Please note that as we pilot this program in 2022, volunteers must bring their own tools to work in the park.
