Partnership Spotlight: Mick Holsbeke with Clown Garage

The Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park has been thrilled to partner with Mick Holsbeke, an internationally renowned performer, producer, and teaching artist, to bring laughter, adventure, and creativity to our community this 2025! Mick has dazzled audiences worldwide, starring in Seattle’s Teatro ZinZanni and playing the lead role in Cirque du Soleil’s Amora in Malta. This year, he founded Clown Garage, a school dedicated to circus arts, physical humor, and theatrical clowning, and he’s now bringing his passion for play to FLSSP events and beyond!

Mick kicked off 2025 as Master of Ceremonies for our Polar Plunge event and will return for more fun at Spring Into Adventure on May 3rd! This fall, he’ll lead a special FLSSP workshop to help our community tap into their funny side, build confidence, and explore new ways to connect—through play, laughter, and the natural world around us. Please subscribe to our newsletter, social channels or watch our Friends event page for registration for the fall workshop series.

Starting this spring, Mick will be teaching circus and clowning classes at the Issaquah Community Center, and this fall, he’s launching an exciting new project—the first public indoor cycling club of its kind in the U.S.!
