Update from the Living Laboratory – join the makeover!

Have had a great April in the Living Laboratory! Aubrey Tingler, our AmeriCorps service person reports: ‘Earth Day weekend was special – we talked about sustainable earth-friendly living in addition to working on our restoration area.'

John Sherwin, one of our board members, has a passion for this work and is looking to how he can continue with the restoration vision after Aubrey’s departure in July.

Aubrey added this:

“A huge thank you to Issaquah Coffee Company for once again donating delicious coffee to our restoration volunteers who came out on April 23rd to continue work on the FLSSP/AmeriCorps habitat restoration project. We really appreciate the generosity of Issaquah Coffee that helps us show our volunteers how much we appreciate their dedication and hard work! Check out this great local spot for specialty coffee drinks, pastries, and a relaxing atmosphere, located 317 NW Gilman Blvd #47, towards the back of Gilman Village.”

Work parties are usually 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Keep track of the work party events on the website and we'll provide more updated information for what is going on in June!
