FLSSP Annual Celebration Includes You

Join Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park at the rotunda in the park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 26 to learn about all of the exciting initiatives FLSSP has planned for 2020.

Most importantly, this will be the first opportunity to learn about the proposed trail plan within the park. Board members Bill Way and Kit Ledbetter have led a team of volunteers in analyzing current trails and creating a future plan that will connect wetlands, picnic areas, city trails and more. The draft plan will be presented to state park planners for inclusion in the revised master plan, expected to be completed in 2020.

At the celebration, FLSSP will also recognize several of its outstanding volunteers who help to secure funding to improve the park, promote the park locally and regionally, plan events at the park, and lead watershed restoration efforts.

FLSSP will provide beverages and appetizers. Attendees are welcome to bring a potluck dish, salad or dessert to share.
