Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park is again participating in giveBIG. This year, given the impacts of the coronavirus on Washington's nonprofits, GiveBIG will be a two-day online giving event from May 5-6. Early giving has begun now. You can schedule your gift today!
This year, our request is more urgent. As you are aware, our summer events, the largest revenue stream for our organization, have been either cancelled or postponed, We are a small organization and these losses are devastating.
We are working on several exciting initiatives; first and foremost, FLSSP is spearheading an ambitious new trails plan for the park designed to increase accessibility and connectivity for wheelchairs, hikers and bikers. FLSSP, in collaboration with trail groups, State Parks, the City of Issaquah and City of Sammamish, began field surveys and assessments in early 2019 and are poised to complete the plan in 2021.
With your help, we will continue to move forward on this important project.
Help us weather this storm, so we can continue to make Lake Sammamish State Park a better place, a place that is accessed by more people each year and let us share our beautiful outdoor refuge with all of our diverse families and communities.
