Celebrate Grandparents Day at the Park

Celebrate the special connection between grandparents and children at the park with fun activities and live music. Sammy the Salmon will also be at the park from 1:30 pm-3:30 pm on September 12.

Stroll through the park guided by our inspiring signs on the Grandparents Day Walk". The walk will be set up between September 10 through the 19th and begins at the Sunset Beach parking lot.

Grandparents and children have a special connection that is proven to both make grandparents live longer and make children more emotionally resilient. Take this opportunity to treasure that connection and spend some quality family time together.

Lake Sammamish State Park is the perfect place to recreate the outdoors and enjoy the best of Northwest nature. Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park has created a series of do-it-yourself “Walks in the Park” to educate, entertain and bring people outside in a safe way in 2021, each with a different theme.

The Grandparent’s Day Walk is brought to you by Visit Issaquah, Aegis of Issaquah, Issaquah Gardens, Morningstar of Kirkland, Sunrise Senior Living, Timber Ridge at Talus and Providence Point Kiwanis

Please note that A Daily Discover Pass is required to enter the park.
