Join FLSSP and Eastside Audubon for a unique program which will include an introduction to birds followed by a 30-minute bird walk.
Mary Britton-Simmons, director of the Eastside Audubon’s youth education committee, will discuss what makes a bird a bird and will bring interesting things to touch and see including a mounted owl.
Participants will learn about native bird species and their need for a supportive environment. We will also learn to appreciate birds as a part of the wonder of the natural world. Every participant will also make a pinecone bird feeder to take home so they can enjoy learning all about the birds on their own backyard.
This workshop is limited to 15 spots. It is free and open to the public.
Feel free to email director@flssp.org for any questions.
