FLSSP to Host Monthly Habitat Restoration Events

As part of our long standing commitment to habitat restoration, FLSSP is now hosting monthly restoration events in the park.  Events are led by John Sherwin, Janet Wall and Chuck Nykriem, all seasoned veterans.

Native vegetation and trees are not only critical to the health and beauty of the park but critical to healthy salmon runs and clean water. The November event will be held on November 10 at 10am and consist of weeding, mulching and maintenance.

Be part of something that will support the health of the park’s habitat and wildlife. We promise you will work hard and have fun!

Wear sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. Gloves, tools and snacks will all be provided by FLSSP. Habitat restoration events are open to adults and children ages 10 and up.
