Salmon SEEson photo contest

Each fall, salmon make a long, remarkable trek to spawn in streams and rivers across the Puget Sound region.

There are dozens of salmon-viewing events scheduled from September into December that likely offer the best chances of seeing salmon – particularly during a year when many stocks are returning in below-average numbers.

Some salmon-viewing opportunities are self-guided, while volunteer naturalists are available at other locations on select dates to help visitors spot the fish and learn about the salmon’s lifecycle and habitat needs.

To celebrate, King County is hosting a photo contest to highlight salmon and recovery efforts. Share photos of your Salmon SEEson experience for a chance to win a two-night yurt stay at King County’s Tolt Macdonald Park.

Get outside from now through December 2 to a Salmon SEEson location. Check out some of the most popular salmon viewing areas in our area! A map of locations and more information can be found here: http://bit.ly/salmonseeson.

Snap a photo of your salmon-viewing adventure and share your photo!
