Your Gift to FLSSP Improves the Park

Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park, with your support, has already done so much to make our park the wonderful place it is today. Help us continue our important work by making a generous gift this year.

For more than five years, FLSSP has been working to preserve and enhance this urban refuge for the benefit of our entire community. In 2016, FLSSP raised more than one million dollars to build the all access playground for the benefit of our whole community. This year we have launched another ambitious and exciting project.

FLSSP is now working on a new trails plan for the park designed to increase accessibility for all users and improve connectivity to trails outside the park.  This “Comprehensive Trails Plan” will assess current trails, include plans for new ones and make all trails more ADA compliant. The plan even includes a second footbridge over Issaquah Creek to allow for an internal loop.

Assessments began this past summer and a detailed plan and budget will be available this spring. The entire project will cost millions of dollars and we are asking your support to help us fund these initial steps.

Please remember FLSSP in your end of the year giving and help create an exciting new trails plan for the benefit of the entire community.
