Volunteer Opportunities Abound at FLSSP
Whether you are interested in habitat restoration, administrative support, marketing, event management or leadership development, Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park offers opportunities for all ages, interests and abilities.
If you enjoy working outside, come with a team of colleagues or friends and help restore the park by removing invasive species and planting native trees and bushes. Areas that have been previously restored and planted with native plants also need continued maintenance to prevent the re-establishment of invasive blackberry. Habitat restoration is a perfect team building activity.
Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park also hosts a variety of events throughout the year and volunteers are always needed for event planning and support. Event support includes graphic design, planning, set up and take down, marketing and day of support.
Looking for a deeper involvement and ways to hone your leadership skills? FLSSP has several committees that work with the Board of Directors to manage and oversee the non-profit. FLSSP committees include Finance, Habitat restoration, Events and Fund Development. Professionals with time and talents to share are invited to inquire.
Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to supporting, enhancing and promoting Lake Sammamish State Park.
