FLSSP Welcomes New Board Member Heidi Kayler
Heidi Kayler, a Seattle native, was raised in Issaquah’s Mirrormont neighborhood on Tiger Mountain where she lives today. Having spent many, many years as an enthusiastic park patron, Heidi is excited about joining FLSSP for she has always loved the rustic nature of the park, its consistent footprint, its trails, and fun nooks and crannies.
Her commitment to fostering healthy families and communities is also reflected in her history as a volunteer in multiple capacities, as well as in her professional career which has been spent primarily in training and development for non-profit, mission-based organizations.
Heidi currently serves as co-manager of the VOICE Mentor Program in the Issaquah School District. The district manages approximately 450 mentor matches over the course of a school year.
Heidi, her husband Steve VanHuss, and their 16-year-old daughter enjoy traveling, hiking with their two dogs Snowy and Sally, camping, geocaching and Hamilton.
