Life Jacket Loaner Program

Research shows that most drowning could have been prevented if a life jacket had been worn by the victim. If you come to the park and don’t have a life jacket or have one that does not fit properly, you can visit the life jacket loaner station at Sunset Beach and borrow an infant, child, youth or adult life jacket for the day —at no charge. When finished, simply return the life jackets to the same station.

The State Parks Boating Program facilitates the statewide life jacket loaner program in partnership with the Washington Drowning Prevention Network

Please use the interactive map below to find one of the 180 life jacket loaner stations near you, or view a detailed list of all the life jacket loaner sites (PDF).

The Life Jacket Association recommends life jackets possibly exposed to the virus should be carefully washed and allowed to thoroughly dry before the next use.

Please note there are no lifeguards at Lake Sammamish State Park.
