Make a Splash at Polar Plunge 2024

Join us New Year’s Day to Make a Splash at Polar Plunge!

Help FLSSP ring in the New Year with a SPLASH by joining us for Polar Plunge on New Year’s Day 2024. Festivities will begin at 10:30 a.m. with registration, music, and merriment on the shores of Sunset Beach. The crowd will “plunge” at noon.

Registration is now open and the first 300 registered participants will receive a Polar Plunge souvenir pair of socks, souvenir pin, commemorative sticker and other coupons and swag from our event partners.

Need an excuse to don a costume? Gather your friends or colleagues together and organize a team, or just come solo. Costumes and team t-shirts are encouraged! This year’s costume contest includes three categories: Holiday Festiveness (antlers, polar bears, dreidels, oh my!); 80’s Throwback (crimped hair, leg warmers, neon); and Pacific Northwest (we want to see your creativity!). A winner of each category will be chosen as well as a grand prize winner. Entry to the contest is included in Polar Plunge registration (only registered participants are eligible to win).

This is also your opportunity to take part in a Washington State Park “First Day Hike!” Amber Brooks, Lake Sammamish State Park’s Interpretive Specialist, will lead hikers of all ages on an invigorating 15-20 minute walk through the park at 10:30 and 11am. No registration or entry fee required!
