FLSSP Welcomes Nitin and Grace to the Board
Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park is excited to welcome two new Board Members - Grace Whitten and Nitin Sanghi.
Nitin Sanghi joined the FLSSP Board in Fall of 2023. Nitin has worked with FLSSP over the last year on our restoration efforts in the park and has led groups of volunteers from Dell on our new project site at Tibbetts Creek. Nitin volunteers his time and energy with a host of organizations in and around Issaquah and we are fortunate to be welcoming him to our FLSSP Board. Nitin will be helping FLSSP with our restoration efforts and trails work.
Grace Whitten joined the FLSSP Board in December of 2023. Grace is an Issaquah local with a passion for the outdoors and community-building activities. She is excited to work alongside and learn from fellow leadership in the role, and looks forward to using her organization abilities to help establish new templates for the facilitation and coordination of events. She takes special interest in projects related to animals, conservation, and engaging people to get outside.
Are you interested in joining the FLSSP Board? FLSSP is growing its strategic goals and is seeking new Board Members to help us achieve our mission and vision for Lake Sammamish State Park. In the next year, we are seeking to increase our Board from 11 to 15 members. You do not need to have a special skill set or specific expertise to join the Board. We are seeking community members who are interested in making a small contribution of time and energy to an organization supporting an urban open space and community asset. If you are interested in learning more about the FLSSP Board, please email our Executive Director, Jessica Schafer, at director@flssp.org.
If you see Grace, Nitin or other FLSSP Board Members at an event in the park please come over and say a hearty hello. Our Board Members would love to say hi and to tell you about our work to make Lake Sammamish State Park a model state park for urban conservation and restoration.
