Storm Relief Work Party Success
Thank you to our volunteers for helping FLSSP and WA State Park staff clear trails and other areas at Lake Sammamish State Park on Dec. 15. Twenty-five volunteers joined FLSSP and Park staff to work in 4 different groups throughout the park. State Park staff led a group to the boat launch trail to remove a large log obstruction - the trail is now open! Two other groups, led by FLSSP Board Members, Jamison Rush and Jayme Jonas, worked to remove debris near the Rotunda shelter. A smaller group of volunteers working with Park Aides loaded up trucks to remove debris piles. It was an incredible day of volunteer support to help open and restore trail access at the Park! Thank you for helping FLSSP continue to respond to the need at Lake Sammamish State Park after the large storm.
FLSSP will be holding another volunteer clean-up effort Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 10 am - noon to continue to remove storm debris and other obstructions from park trails. To register to volunteer please visit our events page here. We hope to see you on Jan. 18, 2025!
