Help Lake Sammamish State Park Storm Recovery

Lake Sammamish State Park was hit hard by the recent wind storm with a lot of major trees down throughout the park. Our state park staff has worked tirelessly since the storm to re-open the park to visitors and remove large debris from major areas. We owe them our deepest gratitude for getting the park open and operational again. To support the park, FLSSP has been working with our area staff to find ways to help efforts through volunteer events.

On December 15th from 1 - 3 pm FLSSP is organizing and hosting a storm relief work party to help park staff with some maintenance needs. We will be working to clear small woody debris from trails and stacking thin downed limbs for later clean-up and removal by park staff. This effort will not be focused on larger debris so no special skills are required to help with this effort. We hope you will consider volunteering with us to clear trails and help Lake Sammamish State Park recover from the storm. Register for the event today!

If you can’t volunteer with us on December 15th please consider supporting our efforts through a donation to our fund here.
