Become a Master Docent for Lake Sammamish State Park
Interested in Environmental Stewardship? Education? Both? Become a certified docent for Lake Sammamish State Park Interpretive Programs. In February 2016, Lake Sammamish State Park will offer training sessions for volunteers interested in co-leading and assisting with interpretive programs alongside Lake Sammamish State Park Rangers. The training will be run by our local Washington State Park Rangers! Learn the how and why of leading interpretive programs, as well as become acquainted with programs on geology, ecology, birds, natural history and more.
Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a Lake Sammamish State Park Master Docent Certificate. Participants in the training will begin leading programs immediately in the spring. Participants must complete all four classes in the series to earn the Master Docent Certificate.
Cost: $20 ($10 for seniors and students)
Dates and Times: Four 2-hour sessions, Feb. 2, 4, 9, 11 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. each evening

Lake Sammamish State Park is a 512-acre day-use park with 6,858-feet of waterfront. The park is located at 2000 N.W. Sammamish Road, Issaquah, just north of Interstate 90 at exit 15.
