Welcome Kit Ledbetter – new FLSSP Trustee!
Our newest board member is Issaquah resident Kit Ledbetter. Kit achieved a BA in Recreation from Cal Poly and has since compiled more than 40 years’ experience in the Parks and Recreation field. He grew up in Southern California and worked for several cities in recreation and as a sports referee while in high school and college. After graduating from college, he worked in recreation as a coordinator, supervisor, and director throughout his career. He worked as the Parks and Recreation Director for the city of SeaTac from 1995 until his retirement in February 2016. He was elected to the King Conservation Board of Supervisors and served a three-year term that ended in 2015. Kit and his wife Pam have been married for 42 years and have one daughter, Asia, who graduated from Issaquah High School in 1998. They have lived in Issaquah since 1995 and their daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren now also live in Issaquah. Kit and his wife use Lake Sammamish State Park for hiking, bird watching, and kayaking. Kit tells us he looks forward to giving back to the community through volunteer work with the Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park (FLSSP).
