Join us at the park on Sunday, October 27 to enjoy a special tour given by FISH Master Docent Larry Franks. This tour is a unique opportunity to see Coho salmon milling around and migrating upstream to spawn. This particular tour is a collaborative program between Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery and Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park. and is only offered once a year.
The tour will begin at the bathhouse and stop at various places along Issaquah Creek. The guides will discuss salmon spawning, water quality, and habitat needs for different species of salmon.
This tour is part of a special program called “Walk & Talk” offered by Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park.
