Join more than 200 volunteers at the annual tree planting celebration at the park and plant a tree (or shrub) together! The celebration this year will include food, music, and plenty of tree planting fun for the whole family.
This year is extra-special. It marks the 200,000th tree planted in partnership with Carter Subaru. Their support has helped Mountains to Sound plant forests throughout the Greenway, and they can’t wait to continue– with your help, of course!
This event is part of 20 years of restoration along Issaquah Creek, supporting salmon habitat in this critical area. Celebrations will begin promptly at 10 a.m. and include planting activities, education stations (sign-up day of), coffee, light lunch, snacks, and more.
Planting events are great for individuals, families, groups, and work teams. With a goal of 1,000 native trees and shrubs to be planted, you will all be able to plant a tree and leave a bit muddier! No experience necessary, and all training provided.

Participants under 13 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
What to Bring
For safety, volunteers are required to wear:
Long pants (we’ll be working with tools, so no shorts!)
Sturdy, close-toed shoes (absolutely no sandals)
Gloves (provided)
In addition, we recommend that participants bring:
Warm layers, especially during the fall, winter, and spring
Rain gear
Big sack lunch
At least one full water bottle
Small daypack for lunch, extra layers, etc…
Driving Directions
Please read the parking instructions carefully. We will meet at the the Costco Fields Parking lot, located here: https://goo.gl/maps/b55LTnu3dCFmaikN7 Overflow parking will be available at the ISC Gunners Soccer Fields lot, here: https://goo.gl/maps/uSSgAxq8BrWEt7RA9 At either lot, please look for Greenway event staff and signs to direct you to the event site. From I-90 East, use the right two lanes to take exit 15 for WA-900 W/17th Ave NW. Turn left onto 17th Ave NW. Continue on 17th Ave NW, and then continue straight on NW Sammamish Road. Then make a U-turn at 10 Ave Northwest to access the parking lot. The parking lot will be on your right in about 50 feet. Look for Greenway event signs and leaders!
