Meet Americorps Member Sarah Crestol!
We are thrilled to welcome Sarah Crestol as our new AmeriCorps service member. In addition to working at Lake Sammamish State Park, Sarah will also be working with the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery and with biologists from the Department of Fish and Wildlife. All of her work will be in support of the mission and goals of the Lake Sammamish Urban Wildlife Refuge Partnership.
Sarah grew up in Southern California and earned a BS from Cornell with a concentration in environmental biology. After graduating, Sarah served as an environmental educator in the Peace Corps in Peru, where she enjoyed connecting with people of all ages in spite of cultural differences. She is excited to be part of our team here in Issaquah and says, "I feel really fortunate to be getting hands-on experience in a field I love and learning from professionals dedicated to protecting Lake Sammamish and restoring native species."
We are so lucky to have Sarah as part of our team and look forward to an amazing year.
