Playground Update - Oct. 19, 2016

Playground-RibbonCutting-square.jpg

The playground is open! About 200 people came out in the rain on Oct. 15 to help recognize the donors, meet the WARM Radio bear and Woody from Toy Story, eat cookies and cut the ribbon. But mostly they came to swing and slide and jump and climb and explore the playground! So far, the playground has nothing but rave reviews! If you go, don’t forget to bring your checkers for a game on the chess board, and be sure to take note of the beautiful donor boulder to see the names of all those who contributed $1,000 or more to the playground.

Already we see a few amenities that the playground needs, like a couple of quality on-site trash cans and more flower pots. You can help by becoming a member of Friends of Lake Sammamish State Park, as low as $25/year. http://lakesammamishfriends.org/join-us/
