State Park’s Boating Dock is in the Works!

We are pleased to announce that federal, state and local permitting to install a boating dock at Lake Sammamish State Park has been submitted. The original plan included two docks but after it was noted that baby salmon had a hard time accessing the area in front of the beach, one dock was removed. Current plans include a dock on the north side of Sunset Beach. This will allow salmon to access the restored area in front of Sunset Beach, enable boats to tie up and also protect the ADA ramp from floating debris. To protect salmon in Lake Sammamish, the actual dock installation work in the water can only take place July 15 to August 31. The majority of this work will be pile driving. Completion of the docks will likely take place before summer 2019.
